Horse Camp 2024

We are making the levels for summer camp and riding lessons the same, and with more skills to learn in each level. The purpose for having different levels is so the group of riders are at the same learning stage and can be taught the same skills together. Please review the level descriptions to be sure where your child fits in. If you are still unsure you can email Tasha at This email address is being protected from spambots. Horse Camps – All horse camps go to the barn three times per day to ride. They get assigned a horse for the week that they will catch, brush, saddle, feed, water, and let out. Each day includes a riding lesson, a fun riding activity, and a trail ride. Campers can also bring their own personal horse to camp (please contact the horsemanship director for more information)

Beginner – Is for students who are confident to ride on their own and are ready to gain better steering control and confidence trotting. Younger students can expect to do beginner multiple seasons as they gain strength and knowledge.

Intermediate – Is for students who are confident riding the trot and are ready to refine their skills and learn to lope. All students should expect to do intermediate for multiple years as they gain confidence and knowledge.

Advanced – Is for students who are confident at the lope and are ready to improve techniques. They learn refinement, and advanced maneuvers. Students in advanced have been in lessons for many seasons or regularly ride at home. Please contact the horsemanship director about this level if you have not been in our program before

Wrangler in Training - Is for teens who are interested in working as a wrangler for our camps and lessons. The two-week program trains teens for skills at the barn, bible lessons to strengthen their faith, and being a part of the camp community.
